Balloon Painting

We have had a lot of balloons floating around this week as we have been celebrating Liv’s birthday. So we thought we would be creative with them.

What you need:

  • Balloons
  • Poster paint
  • Paper/plastic plates(or any other container to put the paint in)
  • Paper

You need to blow the balloons up about a quarter of the way and tie them closed. Pour a little paint into the containers, dab the balloons in the paint then on your paper.

This is a great activity for children to learn about colours as you can use two different colours that mix well. In this case we used red and blue and discusses that they turn purple when mixed together. It’s also a great activity to promote fine motor skills and exploring different materials to create art.
