Dot Painting

To recognise NADOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week this week (3rd – 10th July) we did some dot painting today.  I would have normally done this on some bark but due to the rain we used paper. We went on a search for some sticks between showers and found a few different sizes and shapes.

You will need:

Paint

Sticks

Paper or Bark

Put some paper on a tray, I used a plate covered in foil.  Allow the children to choose a stick and dip it in the paint then onto the paper.

These are our art works:

We used red, yellow and black paint to represent the colours of the Aboriginal flag.
